เว็บไซต์อย่างเป็นทางการของเกม New Pokemon Snap ที่กำลังจะวางขายเร็ว ๆ นี้ บน Nintendo Switch ได้ยืนยันว่า Pokemon กว่า 200 ตัวจะพร้อมในเกม โดยในตอนนี้ มีการเปิดรายชื่อบางส่วนของตัว Pokemon ออกมาให้แฟน ๆ ทราบกันล่วงหน้าก่อนเกมออกแล้ว
โดยทางเว็บ The Pokemon Companyได้เปิดรายชื่อ โปเกมอน 65 ตัว ในเกมที่กำลังจะมาถึง และสำหรับการเปรียบเทียบ Pokemon Snap ดั้งเดิมสำหรับ Nintendo 64 มีโปเกมอน 63 ตัวจาก โดยเกม Pokemon Snap เปิดตัวบน Nintendo Switch ในวันที่ 30 เมษายน 2021
