28 สิงหาคม 2557 ดีแทคยกระดับมาตรการการเปลี่ยนซิมเพื่อรักษาความปลอดภัยให้ลูกค้า ขอย้ำเตือนให้ลูกค้าปกป้องสิทธิ์จากการถูกแอบอ้างของบุคคลอื่นมาจดทะเบียนสวมสิทธิ์เบอร์ของตนเอง ชวนลูกค้าเดิมและลูกค้าใหม่ เร่งลงทะเบียนซิมการ์ดแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของเบอร์ให้ถูกต้องทันที สืบเนื่องมาจากแนวโน้มความนิยมในเบอร์มงคลและเบอร์สวยที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นเป็นอย่างมาก จนเป็นที่มาของธุรกิจการขายเบอร์ รวมไปถึงพฤติกรรมที่มิชอบต่างๆในการสวมสิทธิ์เบอร์สวย จึงขอแนะนำลูกค้าโดยเฉพาะกลุ่มลูกค้าพรีเพด ควรรักษาและปกป้องสิทธิ์ของตนเองด้วยการลงทะเบียนเลขหมายโดยเร็ว ทั้งลูกค้าเดิมที่ยังไม่ได้จดทะเบียนและลูกค้าที่เพิ่งเปิดใช้บริการซิมใหม่ เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้พวกมิจฉาชีพสวมสิทธิ์ ขณะเดียวกันก็ได้รับสิทธิ์ประโยชน์มากมายในฐานะลูกค้าดีแทค
นายชัยยศ จิรบวรกุล รองประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่มลูกค้า บริษัทโทเทิ่ล แอ็คเซส คอมมูนิเคชั่นส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ ดีแทค กล่าวว่า “ความต้องการเบอร์สวย เบอร์มงคลที่ถูกโฉลกกับตัวเอง เพิ่มมากขึ้นจากเมื่อก่อนจากความเชื่อเรื่องดวงชะตา จึงมีหลายเว็บไซต์ รวบรวมเอามาขาย โดยแบ่งประเภทของเบอร์ออกมามากมาย เช่น เบอร์ตอง เบอร์เรียง เบอร์เลขศาสตร์ เบอร์สวยVIP เบอร์สวยปี พ.ศ ปี ค.ศ เบอร์โฟร์ เบอร์สวย xyxy xxyy เม็ดเงินในตลาดของเบอร์มงคลและเบอร์สวย เริ่มต้นขายกันตั้งแต่ราคาไม่กี่ร้อยบาท จนถึงหลายล้านบาทต่อเลขหมาย มีเงินหมุนเวียนในตลาดหลักร้อยล้านบาท

ในขณะเดียวกัน ดีแทคได้พิจารณายกระดับเพิ่มความรัดกุม ในขั้นตอนการออกซิมการ์ดใหม่ให้ลูกค้าทุกกรณี ไมว่าจะเป็นการออกซิมการ์ดใหม่เบอร์เดิม กรณีลูกค้าทำซิมหาย ซิมชำรุด เปลี่ยนขนาดซิมเพื่อใช้งานกับมือถือรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อความถูกต้องและปลอดภัย และช่วยให้ลูกค้าดีแทคมั่นใจได้ว่า จะไม่มีความผิดพลาดจากขั้นตอนนี้อีก
ทั้งนี้เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้มีกรณีการถูกขโมยเบอร์เกิดขึ้นอีก ดีแทคขอย้ำให้ลูกค้าที่ยังไม่ได้ลงทะเบียนซิมการ์ด ให้เร่งมาลงทะเบียน โดยมีช่องทางให้ลูกค้าลงทะเบียนได้สะดวกหลายช่องทางทั้งผ่านแอพ 2แชะ จากนโยบายกสทช. หรือที่สำนักงานบริการลูกค้า ซึ่งจะช่วยสร้างความมั่นใจในการรักษาความปลอดภัยของข้อมูลส่วนตัวให้กับลูกค้าผู้ใช้บริการโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่แบบเติมเงิน และป้องกันไม่ให้ผู้อื่นไม่ให้สามารถนำหมายเลขของลูกค้าไปใช้ประโยชน์ซ้ำซ้อนได้
dtac considers increasing the measure of issuing a new SIM card and suggests customers to register favorable SIM card numbers to remain ownership
August 28, 2014 – dtac calls the customers to attention that their SIM cards should be registered to remain the right of ownership. Existing and new customers are rushed to register their SIM cards to identify the actual owners. As a consequence of increasing popularity in propitious and favorable mobile phone numbers, dtac encourages our customers, especially prepaid customers, to register their SIM cards right away to protect their selected numbers from mobile phone number trading and misconduct behavior in taking favorable numbers. At the same time, registered customers may receive plenty of privilege from dtac.
Mr. Chaiyod Chirabowornkul, Chief Customer Officer of Total Access Communication PLC. or dtac said “The desire of favorable or propitious mobile phone number has been increasing due to the believe in horoscope. Many websites gathers up favorable numbers into groups, such as, group with triple numbers, group of straight numbers, group of superstition numbers, group of VIP numbers, group of year numbers, group of quadruple numbers, and group of distinguished numbers xyxy/xxyy. The price of the favorable mobile phone number business starts from a few hundreds baht up to millions baht per number. Cash flow in the market runs up to hundreds million baht.
dtac recognizes the problem and is not complacent. In case of customer’s damage, dtac hurriedly cooperates with the officials for the investigation and prosecution on illegal actions in order to restore the favorable numbers to customers.
In the meantime, dtac considers increasing the measure of issuing a new SIM card in any circumstances, such as for a new number, for replacement, for size changing in order to work with modern smart phones, and etc. This measure is to guarantee customers the accuracy, safety, and confidence for the registration process.
Thus, to prevent a recurrence of stolen numbers, dtac reiterates that customers should expedite the registration for unlisted SIM cards. dtac prepares various convenient channels for the SIM card registration including NBTC’s application “2-shots” or dtac centers. This ensures the security of confidential personal information to prepaid customers and prevents the number duplication for unwanted benefits.
